Proof must be attained for allowance to sit for the National Phlebotomy Certification Exam. Along with the work experience of 50 venipuncture procedures and 10 skin exams must be fulfilled and signed off on by a doctor or instructor.
• Any student who has been in a healthcare related position for at least 6 months. Also with the goal of becoming a Certified Phlebotomy Technician. All requirements are similar to above (50 venipunctures and 10 skin exams), but if the state has no required certification, then it is recommended that you still go through with the National Phlebotomy Examination.
